A tour of nineteen sites dating from L’Isle-Verte’s heyday. The old circuit courthouse, the Louis-Bertrand house and the Girard House all offer tours. The other sites are also fascinating, though not open to the public, including the home of poet Blanche Lamontagne and that of Robertine Barry, the first woman journalist in Canada. Pick up a copy of the guidebook at the municipal office. Average visit: 2 hours. Guided tours for groups by reservation.
